I’m in the process of moving—one of life’s top stressors, ranked just below death, illness, and divorce. Good times.
I’ve reached the stage where all the hard questions have been asked. No, the sheets with the disintegrated elastic don’t spark joy anymore. Yes, I’m living in the same pants and unicorn t-shirt that says I’m Magical for the fourth day in a row because everything else is packed, and I refuse to open a suitcase. That would be backsliding.
Now, the only thing that will make me happy is a clean, echoing house where the sound of my tears of exhaustion can bounce off the walls in triumph. Just kidding… mostly.
But the end is near. I’ve reached the point where nothing fits neatly into categorized storage bins. The toilet plunger is sharing space with a collapsible car shovel, and a foam muscle roller in a garbage can I don’t love, but can’t bring myself to replace. Practicality always wins, even in purgatory.
So why am I telling you this, and what does any of it have to do with cozy mysteries? Keep reading and find out.
I asked, and you delivered. Readers sent in photos of their adorable pets, and I wanted to snuggle every single one. From fuzzy cat bellies to soulful puppy eyes and diva donkeys—these animals are total scene stealers.
Thank you to everyone who shared their stories and snapshots. Scroll down and soak up the cuteness. I dare you not to say, “Ahhhh.”
Happy Reading!
